In this project, we assisted the owner-builder with:
✅ Getting the Notice to Commence (NTC) confirmation and Construction Certificate (CC) from the Private Certifier
✅ Getting a subsequent approval for construction of a granny-flat (secondary dwelling) with a double garage
✅ Getting further approval for a double-storey extension
✅ Engaging and coordinating with the owner-builder’s subcontractors throughout the project
✅ Guided the owner-builder’s subcontractors to do a renovation of the existing house
✅ Assisted the owner-builder and coordinated with the surveyor to peg-out the boundaries of the secondary dwelling, double garage and existing house extension.
✅ Assisted and coordinated the excavator for the footing; by marking out landmarks and preparing the site for excavation
✅ Assisted to rectify mistakes made by the owner-builder’s subcontractors, which had initially led to an defective and non-compliant steel reinforcement and a overall-non compliant result for that stage from the Private Certifier Authority (PCA)
✅ Addressed their concerns relating to the Finished Floor Level (FFL) and how his concreter might not complete the pour correctly, which would lead to non-compliance with the Australian Building Standards. This was done by coordinating with the concreting team and guiding them during the concrete pour.
